Terms & Conditions

Last updated 2 June 2026

These terms govern your use of the Stint app. By creating an account or using Stint, you agree to these terms. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy.

Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or using Stint you confirm that you accept these terms and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

About Stint

Stint is an independent project, built and maintained as a hobby for the people of the Formula 1 paddock and the wider motorsport community. It is provided free of charge, with no subscriptions, in-app purchases or advertising, and we do not sell or trade your data or otherwise monetise the app. As Stint is offered free of charge and on a voluntary basis, we cannot guarantee continued availability or support, but we aim to keep it running and useful for the community.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Stint. Stint is designed for people working in motorsport, and sign-up requires a valid team or company email address. You are responsible for ensuring the information you provide is accurate.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. We may require you to verify your email address before using certain features.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Your content

You retain ownership of the content you submit, such as your display name, photos and run data. By submitting content you grant us a licence to host, display and use it for the purpose of operating Stint, including showing it on leaderboards and to your team. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any content you submit.

Fair play and moderation

Fair competition is central to Stint. We use automated and manual checks to detect cheating and abuse. We may review, flag, exclude or remove runs and content, and we may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or undermine fair play, with or without notice where appropriate.

Termination and account deletion

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms. On permanent deletion, your data is removed as described in our Privacy Policy.

Health and safety

Stint involves physical exercise. You take part at your own risk and are responsible for exercising safely and within your ability. Stint is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting any new exercise programme, and stop if you feel unwell. Always run with regard to your surroundings, traffic and local rules. This does not exclude any liability we are not permitted to exclude by law — see Disclaimers and limitation of liability below.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. In particular, we do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law of England and Wales, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

Subject to the paragraph above, the app is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that run times and metrics will always be accurate, and Stint is not a substitute for your own judgement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss or damage that was not reasonably foreseeable, or for indirect or consequential loss, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app.

Changes to the service and these terms

We may change, suspend or withdraw features, and we may update these terms from time to time. When we make significant changes we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.
